The Twickenham riverside sandpit is a popular location for families with young children. It’s well maintained and includes a 7m Viking Boat and a 5.5m Wherry (Victorian Water Taxi), a sail canopy for shade in summer and lots of sand. It’s close to local shops and eateries and affords good views of the River Thames and Eel Pie Island.
