There are  two play areas on Heathfield Recreation Ground at the western and eastern site boundaries.

At the western end is the gated playground, a modern play facility that has been recently installed and has some of the best equipment in the area. The play area includes the following equipment:

• Two metal climbing frames and slides
• Toddler swings
• Trampoline
• Rocking horse
• Merry go round
• Rope climbing frame
• Multi use games area
• Zip wire

At the eastern boundary is a newly installed woodland  play area, designed for slightly older children and includes a large tree house and other climbing style equipment.
